Written by Sumter County is holding a Household Electronics & Hazardous Waste Mobile Collection Amnesty Day this Saturday, April 11, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lake Okahumpka Park in Wildwood.
It is a good chance to safely get rid of items that should not go in the regular trash.
What to bring
- Electronics: old computers, TVs, VCRs, DVD players, stereos, phones, and similar devices
- Hazardous household waste: paint, solvents, pesticides, fertilizers, automotive fluids, batteries, fluorescent bulbs, and more
